One hurdle has been cleared. The surgery is over and now behind us!
Davy girl did amazingly well. She is resilient, strong and a born fighter. Plus, she is so stinkin’ cute. Look at the picture below!

The surgery itself lasted for around 2 hours and went off without a hitch.
One of the doctors said that the surgery went “miraculously” well. Davy did better than anyone honestly thought she would. It’s amazing what can happen when the people of God pray. Looking back at the prayer requests – comfort, surgeons and recovery – God was gracious and merciful to answer all three unequivocally.
Right now, Davy is back in the NICU recovering. She got moved to a new room that’s slightly larger and she got a new, swank bed – she’s such a little diva!
At this moment she’s doing great, but as we all know life in the NICU isn’t a 100 meter sprint, it’s a marathon – well, it’s more like a marathon where you jump hurdles on the track as well!
So right now we’re thanking God for His lavish grace in answering our prayers and thanking all of YOU who joined us in prayer from around the globe to intercede for our little girl. Concurrently, we’re still running the race and gearing up for next series of hurdles we’ll have to jump.
We love all of you and are so grateful that you’re alongside of us during this journey. We couldn’t do it without the love and support of our community – both near and far.
Prayer Requests
- Overall Healing – Pray that her incisions would heal quickly and that her lungs would continue to heal as she recovers.
- Continued Comfort – Her little body just went through a massive surgery, so pray that she would continue to be comforted during this time.
- Davy’s Story – Lastly, continue to pray that Davy’s story brings encouragement to those struggling and would bring others to faith. It’s been amazing to see God working through all of this. Pray that God would continue to be glorified in mighty ways during this time.

Praying for your and your family Scott, “if God brings you to it, he’ll bring you through it”, for some reason he gave you guys this hurdle. Take deep breaths, and don’t fight back the tears. You’ve been in my thoughts daily even though I haven’t seen you in years.
